SalsaFest Rocks Downtown Las Cruces Again This Weekend

This Saturday from 5 pm to 11 pm, the Downtown Las Cruces Partnership along with Tequila Taco & CervezaFest 2019 host the 11th Annual Las Cruces SalsaFest, promising another event filled with music, food, and, of course, the best salsas in Las Cruces!

The on-stage entertainment will include DJ music, mariachis, and dance performances from the HD2 Hip Hop Studio throughout the night. The headliner Caliente Salsa Dance and opener Memphis Band will get the stage show started off with a bang.

Live Lucha Libre Wrestling throughout the evening will keep everyone entertained along with an excellent selection of food, retail vendors and lawn games for kids and adults.

This year a bigger lineup of competitors is making a show for the Best Salsa Making Contest. Well-known Las Cruces favorites such as Pecan Grill, Double Eagle, Bossy Gourmet, JPM’s, El Sombrero, and The Fresh Chile Co. will put their best salsa forward in hopes of gaining the most coveted salsa title in town.

The best part about it? You get to taste and judge the salsas yourself.

Along with the excellent salsa spread, you might need a little liquid refreshment and a taco (or three). Over 40 different types of tequilas will be available to taste and many craft and Mexican beers will also be on hand. Food trucks will be cooking up tacos and other fare complementing this salsa extravaganza.

SalsaFest runs Saturday July 20, 2019 in the Downtown Las Cruces Plaza from 5 pm to 11 pm. Tickets are $25 ahead of time or $30 at the door and can be purchased online at www.ttcfest.com.
