Sales office in The Willows development is set to open in two weeks.
Picacho Mountain is excited to announce the opening of the sales and design center in The Willows neighborhood within our master-planned development. The Willows is an 80-home gated village of courtyard homes within the 800-acre Picacho Mountain Master Planned Community.
The temporary sales center is already in place and will open for customers two weeks from now while the permanent sales center and model home is under construction. The sales center will provide sales support and act as a design center for current customers.
Buyers will be able to experience all the high-end finishes and amenities available in each one of the courtyard homes. Floorplans and upgrade options for each model will also be available. During the construction of your patio home, you will be able to catch up with the sales team each step of the way and make design selections with the help of our experienced design team.
In addition, we will be showcasing the energy efficient design features that can be enhanced with the solar option. Some of the features include Energy Star rated low-e 366 windows; R-38 roof and R-21 wall insulation and blown in fiberglass insulation; energy efficient 50 gallon hot water heater and hot water recirculating systems; LED lighting; and much more.

The opening of the new sales office coincides with the launch of our newest phase of homes, The Willows, which is a gated enclave of 80 resort-style homes. Ranging from 1480 to 2013 square feet, each of the four models can be customized to your tastes through our high-end design center.

Robert H. Pofahl – President
Bob Pofahl has been involved in real estate for more than 40 years as a developer and builder. Bob and his associates have developed, designed, and built over $6 billion in projects in the U.S. and Mexico. Beginning with family-owned real estate projects in the 60’s, Bob moved to work for a leading design/build contractor while attending the University of Texas at El Paso. He formed his own construction development business in 1971 and, with his associates, went on to build and develop in major U.S. markets, serving a broad range of national clients, including development of over 20 Embassy Suite Hotels, the acquisition of the Park Suite Hotel chain from Brock Hotels, and the development and sale of the Park Suite Hotel chain to the Sara Hotels of Stockholm, Sweden.
In addition to the Picacho Mountain Master Planned Development, Bob is part of the teams for the redevelopment of Downtown Las Cruces and the development of Park Ridge Urban Village, which will include a new state-of-the-art hospital and medical center to serve Las Cruces and the region.
Karen Pofahl – Project Manager
Karen Pofahl oversees the vertical construction projects for the Picacho Mountain development. Her major focus over the past three years has been to coordinate the design and contract management for the Willows at Picacho Mountain patio home project. Additionally, Karen is working with architects to design the next phase of vertical development, The Oaks at Picacho Mountain townhomes.
Billie Haynie, Sales Director
Billie is a lifelong resident of Las Cruces whose family has been in the real estate brokerage business for two generations. She has extensive experience in new home sales, having been the sales manager for DR Horton and Veloz Homes where she managed five subdivisions and six agents.
As a member of the NAHB, Billie was consistently recognized in the Million in Sales category with $11M in sales in one year alone. Billie serves as president of the Las Cruces Association of Realtors and is a director on the New Mexico Real Estate Board. She is a member of the 2016 Growth and Involvement Program for the New Mexico Association of Realtors.
Debbie Garrett, Sales Director
Debbie’s career began in 1976 with twelve years in banking in several positions including commercial, consumer and mortgage lending. From 1993 until 2010, she and her husband John owned and operated Garrett Financial Services, a mortgage brokerage specializing in both residential and commercial lending. In 2004, she received her licensed as a New Mexico Realtor, which has become her passion and full time career.
Debbie is currently the President/Director of the Southern New Mexico Multiple Listing Service, Director of the Realtors Association of NM, and Director of the Las Cruces Association of Realtors (LCAR).
Dona Ana County has been her home since 1967, and she has resided in Picacho Hills for 25 years.
Debbie says, “I love living in Picacho Hills and am proud to be a part of the sales team at Picacho Mountain and The Willows.”
