The Las Cruces Parks and Rec Department kicks off their Summer Music in the Park Concert Series on Sunday May 27th at 6 p.m. in the Plaza de Las Cruces. The first concert is the Mayor’s Jazz Fest featuring Grace Kelly of Boston, Oñate High School Jazz Workshop, and Side Effects Organ Trio of El Paso.
The remaining concerts in the 17-concert series will be held on Thursday and Sunday evenings. The Sunday evening concerts starting on June 3rd will be held at 7 p.m. every Sunday at Young Park, 1905 E. Nevada Ave., through Aug. 26.
Thursday night Music on the Plaza will be held at Plaza de Las Cruces beginning at 7 p.m. on selective Thursday evenings: June 7, June 21, July 12, and July 26.
The lineups for the 2018 Summer Music in the Park Series feature an eclectic array of musical performers sure to delight everyone in the family. Artists include local performers as well as many regional and national musicians such as Grammy-nominated zydeco artist C.J. Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band.
Classic rock, mariachi bands, country western, rock and roll, and many other varieties of music will keep you rockin’ through the beautiful Las Cruces summer nights.
