There are a couple of great things to do this weekend that I wanted to let you know about. There’s always something to do in Las Cruces, NM, but this weekend you can head out to support our veterans and children at the Las Cruces Veterans Day Parade and the Cupcakes for Kids event to benefit the March of Dimes.
First, is the Las Cruces Veteran’s Day Parade, this Saturday, Nov. 13 starting at 9 a.m. Las Cruces is an area that has always show strong support for the military. With White Sands Missile Range, Fort Bliss and other military facilities so close by, almost everyone in Las Cruces has some connection to the military. The Veteran’s Day Parade is a great way to go out and show your support to the men and women of our armed forces! On Sunday Nov. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., head over to Builder’s Source Appliance Gallery (760 W. Palms, Las Cruces, NM) for the Cupcakes for Kids event to benefit the March of Dimes.
Kids will create their own special cupcake with renowned cupcake baker, Gricel Chavez, owner and creator of Cupcakes After Dark. Mom and dad can learn some secrets for enhancing ordinary cake mix just in time for the holiday baking season. The $25 per child (ages 5 to 12) admission includes one cupcake, drink and coloring book. Mom & Dad are FREE! Tickets are available at The Las Cruces Bulletin, Building Industry Association of Southern NM, and The Fixx Salon.
