Art in the Garden Tour provides attendees access to Picacho Hills neighborhood gardens where Artists of Picacho Hills offer their juried art for sale to the public.
Art in the Garden tour began as an effort to create community spirit in Picacho Hills. Historically it has been an exclusive garden tour open only to Picacho Hills residents and their guests. Residents who have developed their artistic skills have organized to create the Artists of Picacho Hills, and along with the Picacho Hills Gardeners, have collaborated in a volunteer effort to open the tour to the general public for the second time year.
2012 Art in the Garden tour on Sept 16th is comprised of 6 gardens with 20 artists displaying their art.
The 5th annual Art in the Garden Tour is free and open to the general public of the Las Cruces area. On Sunday, September 16th, the tour will start at 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Attendees must stop at a tent erected on Picacho Hills Drive to get a map directing them to each garden. Bottled water will be offered at each garden. Not recommended for children under 12 and only service animals permitted. Public bathrooms provided at two locations.
