The beautiful West Mesa area of Las Cruces provides a gorgeous backdrop to the Picacho Mountain community as well as a quiet and serene vista of the Rio Grande valley. Tucked up along the hills at the west end of town, Picacho Mountain is located just outside the city center which gives a beautiful view of the valley but is only six miles away from downtown and shopping areas.
Picacho Mountain is conveniently situated a short drive from Interstate 10. Picacho Avenue, also called State Route 70, gives our community direct, convenient access right to the heart of Downtown Las Cruces.

Everyday shopping and conveniences
Within a few miles, Walgreens and Picquick are available for a quick stop on the way home. For longer shopping trips, Wal-Mart, Save Mart, and Albertsons are both within an eight mile drive from Picacho Mountain.
The Mesilla Valley Mall has almost everything a big city mall has, plus a Target, Lowe’s, and Home Depot. For anything that is not immediately available, El Paso is a short 45-minute car ride away and has all the shopping amenities of a larger city.
The urgent care is only a few miles away for minor medical needs. Two major hospitals and the future Las Cruces Regional Medical Center are all less than 20 minutes away.
