As part of an ongoing commitment to community, Picacho Mountain is pleased to sponsor the First Step Center’s 2008 Golf Tournament. The First Step Center is an independent, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in Las Cruces, NM, dedicated to providing caring, affordable, quality pediatric and women’s health care to residents of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, and Southern New Mexico. In fact, First Step Center doctors and midwives delivered almost half of the babies in Dona Ana County last year.
Golf Tournament will kick off on August 1, 2008 at 6 pm with a “Too Good to Keep Silent” auction hosted at Picacho Mountain. This fun event will include cocktails, hors d’ oeuvres, and a live auction with a local celebrity caller. The auction will feature some extraordinary items such as a golf cart, Louis Vuitton purse and much more! Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Picacho Mountain or the Picacho Hills Country Club. The golf tournament events are Friday Sept. 5 and Saturday Sept. 6 2008. This exciting event is comprised of a morning golf flight entailing a two person scramble and an afternoon golf flight entailing a four person scramble at the Picacho Hills Country Club, the JetBlue Challenge Shoot Out, 19th Hole Dinner, Dance & Awards and wine tasting spectacular, an Appreciation Cocktail Party, a children’s golf clinic and a “”Tea Time”” Art Auction for those who prefer not to “”tee it up””.
