It is time again for our semi-annual Picacho Mountain & Friends Hike. We’d like to invite you to join us as we explore the amazing Las Cruces, New Mexico terrain at Picacho Mountain.

Picacho Mountain Visitor Center
For this hike we will be exploring Bonita Canyon, one of the amazing canyons in Picacho Mountain and adjacent to the Picacho Peak Recreation Area. We will be meeting at the Picacho Mountain Visitor Center between 9 am and 9:30 am and will be leaving for the hike at 9:30 am sharp.
The access point for this hike is just off of the paved portion of Picacho Mountain Loop Road, so you can plan on driving your vehicle.
This is an beginner to intermediate hike that should take between 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Hikers of all ages are invited to join us. There are several “turn back” spots if you do not wish to do the entire hike. This is just a hike, and will not include a geology presentation.
